Together we are Rouveen Kaasspecialiteiten

The cooperative dairy Rouveen Kaasspecialiteiten is made up of 250 dairy farms, two production locations, in Rouveen and Molenschot, and more than 200 employees. Together we have one goal: developing great products from the precious milk produced on our farms. This commitment means there is a high level of individual dedication and hard work. And that is the hallmark of Rouveen Kaasspecialiteiten.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for our cooperative is made up of seven member dairy farmers and two external specialists. They supervise the running of the cooperative and the role of the management therein. They represent all dairy farmer members and are appointed in Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors is there to advise and assist the management. The membership of the Board of Directors is periodically renewed by adhering to a retirement schedule.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting is the highest body in our cooperative. Each member has a vote on decisions taken in the Annual General Meeting.

Junior board
Rouveen Kaasspecialiteiten seeks to inspire young dairy farmers through its Junior Board. This programme allows seven enterprising (future) dairy farmers to follow a development path for future managers at the NICE training institute (Nyenrode). This junior group in turn is a source of inspiration for the Board of Directors and the management. For example, by contributing to discussions about development and sustainable investments. The Junior Board is renewed by adhering to a retirement schedule.

Responsibility for our cooperative

We want to be forward-looking and a clear vision enables us to progress both with and for each other. The rich history we have built up together with our community has not gone unnoticed. We are proud to be a Purveyor to the Royal Household. Yet we have not forgotten our roots. More than a hundred years of dairy history is a rich cultural heritage which has made us who we are today: versatile cheesemakers.
